iNexxus
AI FOR BUSINESS / GENERATIVE ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

Become the brand AI puts on the shortlist.

Your next buyer may ask an AI assistant before they ever reach your website. We build the technical access, content and independent authority that help your brand earn a place in that answer.

01DEFINITION

What is generative engine optimization?

Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the work of improving how often, and how accurately, a brand is discovered, represented and cited in AI-generated answers. It complements SEO and earned media rather than replacing them.

At iNexxus, GEO is an operated service — strategy, implementation and earned authority run by a team accountable for the work — not a monitoring subscription that hands you a dashboard and a to-do list.

GOOD FIT
  • — B2B brands with considered purchases
  • — SaaS and software
  • — Complex professional services
  • — New or emerging categories
  • — International growth programmes

We do not guarantee rankings, citations, inclusion in model training or revenue.

02

One programme. From discoverability to demand.

01

Technical GEO

If assistants and search systems cannot reach, render and trust your pages, nothing else matters. We review the foundations engines depend on before anyone writes a word.

WHAT SHIPS
  • Crawl and indexation review
  • Rendered HTML and JavaScript dependency check
  • Canonicals, internal links and sitemap
  • Structured data and entity consistency
  • CDN / WAF access and server-log review
  • A concrete, prioritised implementation backlog
02

Content and citation strategy

Assistants cite pages that answer a real question clearly and back it up. We plan and produce the pages buyers actually ask about, written to be quoted accurately.

WHAT SHIPS
  • Intent, use-case and comparison pages
  • Answer-first explanations
  • Evidence, named authorship and visible dates
  • Honest limitations and fit criteria
  • Refresh cadence and approval workflow
03

Authority beyond your domain

Answers lean on sources other than you. We map which sources engines observably draw on in your category and build a genuine presence there.

WHAT SHIPS
  • Map of observed cited sources by question set
  • Accurate third-party profiles and listings
  • Programmes for genuine customer reviews
  • Original research worth citing
  • Relevant earned editorial coverage

No manufactured reviews. No guaranteed placements or citations.

04

AI visibility measurement

A defensible view of how you appear, sampled repeatedly against the questions your buyers ask, with qualified demand tracked wherever it can honestly be attributed.

WHAT SHIPS
  • Repeated buyer-question sampling
  • Citation and source analysis
  • Competitor comparison
  • Qualified demand where attributable
03TECHNICAL ACCESS

Make the right pages accessible.

Search access and training consent are different decisions. A crawler that powers answers is not the same as one that collects training data — and access alone never guarantees being recommended.

USER AGENTOWNERPURPOSE
OAI-SearchBotOpenAISearch — surfaces sites in ChatGPT search results.
GPTBotOpenAITraining — a separate consent decision from search.
ChatGPT-UserOpenAIUser-triggered fetching; robots.txt rules may not apply.
PerplexityBotPerplexitySearch — indexes pages for Perplexity answers.
Perplexity-UserPerplexityUser-triggered fetching on behalf of a person.
GooglebotGoogleAI Overviews and AI Mode rely on normal Search eligibility.
Google-ExtendedGoogleSeparate control for Gemini use; not a Search ranking switch.

Vendors change crawler behaviour. We verify official documentation before any rules change.

WHAT WE AUDIT
  • noindex and robots directives
  • Canonical signals
  • Snippet eligibility
  • HTTP status codes
  • Sitemap coverage
  • Crawlable rendered HTML
  • WAF and bot-management logs

llms.txt is an optional, proposed convention — not a guaranteed inclusion mechanism. Google states no special AI schema is required for its AI features. Training policy and security settings stay your decision.

04MEASUREMENT

A baseline you can defend.

Report structureNot client results
01
Mention rate
Valid answers naming the brand ÷ valid answers
02
Citation rate
Answers citing your domain ÷ valid answers
03
Share of voice
Brand mentions ÷ mentions of all tracked brands in the same sample
04
Representation accuracy
Whether answers describe you correctly, and which domains are cited
05
AI referral sessions
Referral sessions and qualified enquiries, where observable

Questions are mostly unbranded, grouped by buyer task and market, and run repeatedly. Every run records the date, prompt set and version, engine and surface, locale, language, sample size, raw answers and cited URLs.

Results are reported engine by engine — never as one universal rank. Responses vary between runs and models, attribution has gaps, and a change is not proof of causation. Google AI feature traffic is included in Search Console Web totals, not reported as a separate AI channel.

You receive a monthly executive report with an action log, owners and next priorities. Baseline and cadence are agreed in scope.

Assessment, then scoped implementation, then an ongoing programme. Pricing reflects your markets, question sets, content scope and implementation needs. We work alongside your in-house team and existing SEO or PR partners. The assessment ends with a fit review and a proposed scope.

07FAQ

Questions buyers ask about GEO.

How is GEO different from SEO and AEO?

SEO earns rankings in classic search results. AEO focuses on direct answers. GEO focuses on how generative systems mention, describe and cite your brand. They share foundations, so GEO complements SEO rather than replacing it.

Which AI engines do you cover?

Coverage is agreed around your buyers and markets. Typical surfaces include ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. Each is measured separately.

Can you guarantee our brand will be recommended?

No. No one controls what an AI system answers. We improve the conditions engines rely on: access, clear evidence and independent authority. Then we measure the change honestly.

When can we judge progress?

Only after a baseline exists. Engines recrawl on their own schedules and answers vary between runs, so we report trends across repeated samples and do not promise a fixed timeline.

Should we block AI training bots?

That is a separate policy decision. Search crawlers and training crawlers are distinct, and blocking training does not have to block search visibility. We flag the trade-offs; your team decides.

Do we need llms.txt or special AI schema?

llms.txt is an optional proposal, not a guaranteed inclusion mechanism. Google states no special AI schema is required for its AI features. Standard structured data that matches visible content still helps.

How is a GEO programme priced?

Pricing is scoped by markets, the size of the question set, content volume and implementation needs. It starts with an assessment, then a scoped implementation and an ongoing programme.

How do you measure and attribute results?

Through repeated sampling of mention and citation rates, plus AI referral sessions where observable. Google AI feature traffic sits inside Search Console Web totals, so attribution has gaps we state openly.

Can you work alongside our team and agencies?

Yes. We can work with in-house marketing, existing SEO partners and PR agencies, and assign clear owners for every action.
